Offthe back of the songs success, Buckingham was invited to tour alongside Kate Miller-Heidke,Paul Kelly, Tim Freedman and Ben Lee.Buckingham wowed the crowd with her soaring vocals, silencing the room - Stack MagazineRevered for her soul baring, intimate performances, Buckinghams new live show keepsorganic sounds and storytelling at the core, with the bold addition of live looping andsampling.Im using Ableton Push to sample sounds that we created in the studio, live loop myvocals and bring the album to life as a solo touring artist. Theres so much going on musically, butits the most emotionally raw Ive ever been.Co-producing the album with long time collaborator and multi-instrumentalist Kent Eastwood,Dear John documents Buckinghams own experience of domestic abuse, and explores themesof gender equality and freedom of self expression.I wrote the album while I was learning how to stand up for who I am and what I want. Myexperience mirrors so many peoples stories and I wanted to create something that helped womenfeel seen.Buckingham shares Problematic Songs on her social media accounts and hosts the SongBaker podcast - having frank conversations with women in music.
