Autism Primary

(aged from 5-11 years of age or at primary school)

This 3 day and 2 nights program is attended during in the school holidays and provides opportunities for primary school children living with autism to have fun in a safe and caring environment.  The programme is organised to provide a range of exciting social and sporting activities. It encourages self-expression, independence and promotes a sense of self-worth and confidence. It is also an opportunity for a child to meet other children living with autism, mentors, and allied professionals with shared lived experiences.

The programme promotes interconnectedness, networking and forming long term friendships.  Children are encouraged to join and participate in activities such as tandem motor bike rides, tennis, kite making and flying, outdoor games , drumming and music. This program is well organised and coordinated by our experienced staff and volunteers, all who have a Working with Children and Police checks. The secondary feature of this program is to provide an opportunity for much needed respite to the other members of the family. Within the Central Coast, Hunter, and Newcastle regions there is a rapid rise increase in those wishing to attend.
