Sydney is looking forward to celebrating creativity and innovation with you in the Harbour City again stay safe, and see you soon!Vivid Sydney is a 23-day festival that offers a range of public exhibitions, installations and live music.Hosted by the NSW Government, Vivid Sydney is one of the largest of its kind in the world and is broken down into three main segments: Vivid Light, Vivid Music and Vivid Ideas.Vivid Sydney 2022 Festival Dates, Light Show, Program, Cruises & TicketsThe Rocks, Circular Quay, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour and Luna Park will become a magical outdoor night-time gallery as part of Vivid Light. Some of the citys most iconic buildings, like the Sydney Opera House, Customs House, Cadmans Cottage and the Museum of Contemporary Art will be illuminated with works by leading light artists.Each part of the festival promotes different areas of art with live music performances, creative discussions and large-scale light installations and projections on some of the most famous landmarks in the world.Vivid Sydney runs day and night and the projections and Lights On runs between 6pm - 11pm. The best places to view the Vivid Light show is from the Sydney Opera House, The Rocks, Bradfield Park and from Darling Harbour.Vivid Sydney's light program illuminates the city with glowing immersive installations and super-scale kinetic sculptures in public spaces as well as vibrant projections that reveal our iconic architecture and city buildings in a totally different light.Vivid Music pulls back the curtain on Sydneys never-ending talent and attracts luminaries from near and far. Expect an unexpected soundscape of electrifying live performances as the 2022 line up unfolds in secret spaces and famous places. Youll discover the freshest artists blazing bright new trails and see your music legends shine.Vivid Ideas hosts an array of thought-provoking talks, deep-dive discussions and industry-leading conventions. Dare to think differently as we celebrate the Mavericks and the Misfits of the world. Theyll urge you to be curious about whats next and challenge you to radically shift your perspective.Due to the nature of the festival, there will be many road closures within the Sydney CBD including near the Rocks and Walsh Bay, so it is best to catch public transport to and from the festival.Vivid Sydney warms the soul of our city with light artists, music makers and brilliant thinkers.
