Australian hip-hop trio Bliss N Eso is somewhat of an anomaly on its native continent. Consisting of two emcees and one DJ who met while attending high school, the three were drawn to each other because they were the only ones at their school who listened to hip-hop, a genre that a good majority of Australians in the early 1990s had become familiar with. Bliss N Eso officially began releasing music in 2000, with its blend of R&B samples, hard-hitting beats and rhymes that reference both pop culture and the decline of society. The group has built a surprisingly impressive fan base throughout Australia, although Bliss N Eso has yet to largely spread its fan base significantly outside of its home--something thr group would like to change soon.
