  • A 13.8 klm medium circuit walk located in the Toolangi State Forest. Melway Ref: X910 R11

The walk starts at the Wirrawilla Rainforest Boardwalk. The boardwalk is set amid a very beautiful rainforest under the canopy of Myrtle Beech, Sassafras, Blackwood and tree ferns. Lyrebirds, Platypus and small birds are typically present.

On a clear day the observation tower provides extensive views across the eastern areas of Melbourne.

The walk then descends steeply down for 500 mts before finally meeting with the Quarry Road Track for a return to the start.

Bring walking poles (strongly recommended), morning tea, lunch and water.

It should be noted that weather conditions can change rapidly in the area and wet weather gear should be condidered.

Should car pooling restrictions still remain in place on the walk date alternative arrangements will be advised in advance.
